We continue to invest in our IT infrastructure
In the past decade, it's clear: we have become very reliant on being "connected". For visitors to the Highlands, it hasn't always been easy to stay in touch by email, and even sometimes mobile phone signals aren't great.
However, Daviot Lodge has been among the leaders in helping our guests stay connected. We were among the first luxury bed and breakfasts in the Highlands to offer our guests free WiFi -- more than 6 years ago!
We have continued to upgrade our capacity as our visitors' needs increased. We added three Apple Airport Express units in the winter, for example, to ensure good WiFi coverage throughout Daviot Lodge.
However, our rural location has given us a bit of a challenge recently. Our broadband provider was not able -- due to our rural location and distance from the "green cabinet" (that's a technical term!) to supply a reliable internet connection.
We took the decision to change suppliers, and so far, so good! Our guests have been delighted, and no one is having a slow connection or any other problems.
Taking feedback on board and doing something about it to ensure our guests are not just satisfied, but happy, is how we approach our business. We hope that if we have the privilege of hosting you, you will feel that we take our role as hosts very seriously.
